What are the prerequisites for doing CEH certification
CEH or Certified Ethical Hacker (EC-Council) has a recommended requirement of two years of IT experience with some basic familiarity with Linux or Unix. Additionally, it is recommended to have a good understanding of Cyber Security principles.
Is CEH worth getting?
The CEH certification provides a basic understanding of the tools, concepts and methodologies used during a penetration test, however, requires a significant portion of self-learning to fully understand these tools due to the lab-based scenarios provided during the course. The CEH is often seen as an entry-level certification for people wanting to break into Penetration Testing as a career.
Which course is more beneficial, CEH or CHFI?
CHFI or Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator is another course provided by the EC-Council which can provide the students with the ability to perform digital forensics through examinations of a computer hard disk or other media such as USB devices. The CHFI course also teaches students how to conduct investigations and collect evidence correctly in the event of a breach.
